Ok...so Saturday I did a whole lot of nothing. I woke up..ate some food....spent some time laying out by the pool..took a nap...got up..ate some more food...then I went to the mall..and a movie. I saw Step Brothers...hilarious! I must give it this disclaimer though...it is HIGHLY inappropriate! Language...nudity..just nasty...but I laughed so hard I coughed at parts. So..if you get offended easliy...skip it..if not...watch it. What was my favortie part of the movie? Probably when the guy in the seat in front of me grabbed a handful of his dates hair, took a big whiff, then gently put it back into place..yeah that would have to be it...cause that's not awkward at all. So Sunday... I got to the train station with just enough time to go to Dunkin Donuts...(my Sunday specialty)...go by starbucks..and get up to the platform with about 2 minutes to spare. All of a sudden this voice comes over the intercom and says "attention passengers, the 9:59 to New York Penn station is running 27 minutes late". Oh well, I can go back down to Starbucks and eat and drink there....OH NO.....that means I am going to be late for church. The timing works out perfectly WHEN the train is on time. So abouot 35 minutes later the train pulls up...we are on our way. I get to church about 30 minutes late. The good news is that I saw my same nice friends from last week. Lets call them Dan and Kim...and Dans room mate Nick. Why do I use fake names on here? Not sure..maybe cause anyone can read this and it makes me nervous...Big Brother stuff. Anyways... After church Dan comes up to say hello....then over comes Kim...we chat for a bit...I tell them I am going to eat at one of my favorite new places, Good Enough to eat...I've been going there every Sunday...and she asks if I would mind some company...would I mind company??? Umm....considering most of the company I keep needs a car seat. We meet up with Nick on the street, get to the resturaunt..we had to wait in line for about 30 minutes...it's a popluar place, what can I say. We all had a nice time talking and laughing...they seem like good people. Hopefully I will see them again next week....I may have found a few friends...everyone back home can breathe a deep sigh of relief. Speaking of back home...I booked a flight home!! I am coming home Wednesday August 27th - Monday September 1st! I know I know...your thinking "why is she coming home so soon?? Does she not like it?? Is she really homesick?? Is the family mean?" Calm down...the kids are going out of town so this is a great time for me to come home...probably wont be able to come back till Thanksgiving. I also tried out one more church Sunday night...not sure how I felt about it... I may have just been tired..long day..or maybe it's because although there were about 50 people my age there no one introduced themselves to me....or maybe I am just very intuitive..who knows..if I find myself in the area around the time the service starts, I will go back...but I probably won't make it a point to go there again. It started raining...I didn't know what to do... I was wearing a white dress..I had to buy an overpriced umbrella...note to self...get a bigger purse, always carry umbrella..I went into a Barnes and Noble and read for a bit.. Barnes and Nobles in NYC are so different from ones in Texas..first of all, they are usually 4-5 stories tall..and super crowded..you would NEVER find a comfy chair to sit in..there are a bunch of tables and chairs...but be prepared to sit with a stranger...cause you aint gettin your own table! Maybe things are different on beautiful sunny days..then those rules go for the parks...but on rainy days..people flock to the bookstores and coffee shops.... but I love it! All in all, things are good....Once again, hope all is well with you, talk to ya soon.
